What is a plantar wart?
A plantar wart is small, hard, and rough growth of skin on the bottom of feet.

What causes a plantar wart?
A plantar wart is caused by an infection by a virus called HPV(Human Papilloma Virus). When HPV enters into the deep layer of skin through a opening of skin, it disrupts the skin layers and build up hard skin, corns and calluses.
Who are more prone to a plantar wart?
Immunocompromised patients are more prone to a plantar wart due to weakened immune system. Children are also more prone to a plantar wart due to more cuts because they are more active. Vitamin B12 deficiency patients also are more prone to a plantar wart.
How to treat a plantar wart?
Various treatments for a plantar wart include chemical treatment, laser treatment, cryotherapy, or surgical excision.
How to prevent a plantar wart?
You can prevent a plantar wart by being more cautious not allowing any cut on the bottom of your feet. In Vit. B12 deficiency cases, supplement of Vit. B12 can prevent a plantar wart.
